1. Introduction

Welcome to Recipes With Rama. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, purchase of our cookbook (Hands That Have Nourished Generations), and participation in our cooking classes. By using our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Book Sales

2.1 Hardcover and Paperback Books

  • All book prices are in GBP (£) unless otherwise stated

  • Prices include VAT where applicable

  • Shipping costs are additional and calculated at checkout

  • We aim to dispatch physical books within 3-5 business days

  • Delivery times vary depending on your location

  • Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery to the carrier

2.2 Ebooks

  • Ebooks are delivered digitally via a download link to your email

  • Download links are valid for 30 days from purchase

  • Ebooks are for personal use only and may not be shared, reproduced, or distributed

  • No refunds are provided for ebooks after download

  • Technical requirements: Compatible device and PDF reader

2.3 Returns and Refunds

  • Physical books: May be returned within 14 days of receipt if unopened and in original condition. Customer pays return shipping.

  • Ebooks: No refunds after download due to the digital nature

  • Damaged books: Contact us within 7 days of receipt for replacement

  • Refunds processed within 10 business days

2.4 Intellectual Property

All recipes, content, and images in Hands That Have Nourished Generations are protected by copyright and owned by Rama Rajput. Unauthorised reproduction or distribution is prohibited.

3. Cooking Classes

3.1 Class Bookings

  • Cooking classes are held in Dundee, Scotland

  • Minimum age: 16 years (unless otherwise stated)

  • Classes have limited spaces and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis

  • Full payment is required to secure your booking

3.2 Cancellations and Refunds

By You (Participant):

  • More than 14 days before class: Full refund minus £10 admin fee

  • 7-14 days before class: 50% refund

  • Less than 7 days before class: No refund

  • You may transfer your booking to another person at no extra charge

By Us (Recipes With Rama):

  • If we cancel a class, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another date

  • We are not liable for any travel or accommodation costs incurred

3.3 Class Attendance

  • Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time

  • Notify us in advance of any dietary requirements or allergies

  • Follow all kitchen safety instructions

  • We reserve the right to remove participants who behave inappropriately

3.4 Liability

  • You participate in cooking classes at your own risk

  • We maintain public liability insurance

  • We are not liable for any injuries except where caused by our negligence

  • You are responsible for your personal belongings

4. Newsletter and Communications

  • By signing up for our newsletter, you consent to receive emails about recipes, classes, and updates

  • You can unsubscribe at any time

  • We will never spam you or sell your email address

5. Website Use

5.1 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for any unlawful purpose

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access

  • Transmit viruses or malicious code

  • Copy or reproduce content without permission

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses

  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the product or service

  • Nothing excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence

7. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, strikes).

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
